Warrior® is a USA grown dual purpose hop that is often used as a bittering hop. It has an alpha acid range of 14.5 to 18% and a beta acid of 4-6%. It is owned by Yakima Chief Ranches under the Cultivar/Brand ID YCR 5.

Warrior® is primarily used for its mild, clean bittering properties due to its high alpha content and low cohumulone levels.

There are mild aromas of resin and subtle pine with green woody notes of tarragon, marjoram, tobacco and cedar wood all accented by some floral to citrusy notes. The floral notes range from honeysuckle to sweet herbs and green grass as well as citrus notes of fruit and lemon.

Warrior® is a great choice for use in Hoppy American Styles, IPAs, American Pale Ales, Barleywines, Stouts and Rye Ales.

If you are looking for a substitute we recommend Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus, CTZ, Magnum (GR), Magnum (US), Summit™ or  Nugget.

Warrior® is available in Lupulin Powder/Pellet form through brands like Cryo-Hops and LUPOMax. It is also often available in hop oil/extract form. It sometimes is available in whole leaf hop form.

Warrior® is frequently combined with other hops including Simcoe®, Centennial (US), Columbus (US), Chinook (US), Citra®, Cascade (US), and Amarillo® (US).
