Do you like Killian's Irish Red? Our "Old Hound Dog" recipe is our answer to the demand for this popular beer style.  This recipe kit has long enjoyed a position on out top-10 best seller's list.  Old Hound Dog has a pale golden-red color, moderately light body, and lively carbonation.  We use a special blend of barley and rice malt extracts to achieve crisp flavor and easy-drinking mouth feel, and a special combination of caramel malts, toasted malt, and roasted malted barley for color and flavor.  A guaranteed crowd-pleaser which is great for parties or friends and family members who are intimidated by some of the more exotic-sounding beer styles. "Red Lager" is something that everybody has heard of, so anybody will be ready to appreciate this beer.


 

All our Beer Kits come in a variety of Formulations with two yeast styles and enough ingredients to make 5 Gallons. You can choose from Malt Extract with Steeping Grains, Partial Mash, and All-Grain. You also can choose between Dry and Liquid Yeast. We recommend purchasing an ice pack for liquid yeast purchases that will be shipped.
