Weyermann® Grains CARAFA^®  Special Type 2 Malt

Made from the finest German quality brewing barley, this malt is produced using Weyermann's unique manufacturing process for the CaraFa Special Serires - where a large protion of the husk of the grain is removed. Combined with an adapted roasting program, this results in the finest roasting aroma while minimizing the roasted bitterness.

Flavor:  Finely Roasted Aromatic; Coffee, Cocoa and Dark Chocolate Notes

Recommended Usage Levels: up to 5% - for special recipes with intensive roasting aroma (i.e. Irish Stout, Russian Imperial Stout), higher amounts up to 15% is possible

Can also be used for color correction in light beers with an addition up to 0.5%
