The PurePitch® Next Generation is an evolution of White Labs' PurePitch - the most superior and consistent yeast on the market - has been made better with new packaging powered by FlexCell® technology for ease of use and a pitch rate resulting in a foolproof fermentation every time. The new packaging features a modular pouch with a cap and a consistent cell concentration intended to pitch at 7.5 million cells/mL per 5 gallons. The new process has also increased the viability and improved the shelf life of the yeast now lasting 4-6 months. Meaning that now you get more yeast and a foolproof fermentation with out a starter since you are starting out with 2x the pitch rate than before.

White Labs German Ale/Kolsch Yeast (WLP029) is sourced from a small brewpub in Cologne, Germany making it a perfect fitting for German Ales like Kolsch and Altbier! It is known for accentuating hop flavor and bitterness while still creating crisp, clean lager like characters. It performs exceptionally well at temperatures ranging from 65 to 69 F and does not ferment well below 62 F after peak fermentation. After the first generation it typically has low flocculation characteristics.

WLP029 German Ale/Kolsch Yeast works phenomenally in numerous beer styles including: American Ambers, American Brown Ales, American IPAs, American Pale Ales, American Porters, Barleywine Ales, Cream Ales, Dusseldorf Altbiers, English Brown Ales, English IPAs, English Old Ales, English Pale Ales, ESBs, Foreign Export Stouts, Imperial IPAs, Imperial Stouts, Irish Dry Stouts, Irish Red Ales, Kolschs, Oatmeal Stouts, Ordinary Bitters, Scotch Ales (Wee Heavys) Sweet Stouts, and Wheat Ales.
