American Hefeweizen Ale Yeast WLP320


White Labs American Hefeweizen Ale Yeast (WLP320) is a specialized yeast strain that ferments much cleaner than other hefeweizen strain counterparts. It will produce a very slight banana and clove note. It has a low flocculation, which will result in beers with characteristic cloudiness known in the hefeweizen style.

WLP320 American Hefeweizen Ale Yeast is POF+ meaning that it will contribute phenolic characteristics to finished products.

 We recommend using this yeast strain in American Wheat Ales.


Attenuation: 70-75%

Flocculation: Low 

Alcohol Tolerance: Medium (5-10%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  65 - 69F
