American Lager Yeast WLP840


White Labs American Lager Yeast (WLP840) will create a dry and clean lager with a light note of apple fruitiness. This is an easy strain to work with due to the minimal sulfur and diacetyl production, which makes it extremely fitting for American-Style Lagers.

We highly recommend using WLP840 American Lager Yeast in your next American Lager, American Light Lager, Bohemian Pilsner, Marzen, Munchen Helles, Munchner Dunkel, Schwarzbier or Vienna Lager.


Attenuation: 75-80%

Flocculation: Medium 

Alcohol Tolerance: Medium (5-10%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  50 - 55F
