White Labs Belgian Sour Mix 1 (WLP655) is a unique blend of Brettanomyces and Saccharomyces yeasts as well as bacterial strains Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. This is perfect for duplicating traditional spontaneous fermentations similar to those found in Belgian-Style Ales.

WLP655 is POF+ meaning that it will contribute phenolic characteristics to finished products.

This strain is a phenomenal choice for the following styles:  Berliner Weisse, Flanders Brown, Flanders Red, Geuze, Gose, and Lambic.

 

Attenuation: 70-80%

Flocculation: Medium to Low

Alcohol Tolerance: Medium-High (8-12%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  80 - 85F
