Belgian Wit Ale Yeast WLP400


White Labs Belgian Wit Ale Yeast (WLP400) is the pinnacle yeast strain for Belgian Witbiers or White Ales. There is high phenol production which will contribute to an herbal aroma and flavor notes. These aromas and flavors blend excellently with herb and fruit adjuncts. Compared to English or American Ale Strains you should expect nearly 80% attenuation and slightly lower resulting pH which will create a dry beer.

WLP400 Belgian Wit Ale Yeast is POF+ meaning that it will contribute phenolic characteristics to finished products.

 This yeast is a fantastic choice for Belgian Blonds, Belgian Dark Strong Ales, Belgian Table Biers, Belgian Wits, Biere de Gardes, Dubbels, Hefeweizens, Saisons, and Tripels.

Flocculation: Medium to Low 

Alcohol Tolerance: Medium (5-10%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  67 - 74F
