Brettanomyces Bruxellensis WLP650


White Labs Brettanomyces bruxellensis (WLP650) is a classic strain used for secondary fermentation in Belgian-Style beers like Lambics. It will create a medium-intensity, earth forward character in finished beer. A historic brewery in Belgium uses this yeast in secondary fermentation and bottling to produce the signature flavor of its beer!

It is a great choice for the following styles: Flanders Brown, Flanders Red, Geuze, Gose, and Lambic.


Attenuation: 85-85%

Flocculation: Low

Alcohol Tolerance: Medium-High (8-12%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  85 - 85F
