Hornindal Kveik Ale Yeast WLP521


White Labs Hornindal Kveik Ale Yeast (WLP521) is a vault strain and has limited availability. It is a Kveik strain shared with the world by Terje Raftevold from Hornindal, Norway. It produces an intense tropical flavor and aroma with notes of fresh tangerine, mango, and pineapple. It is ideal for us in beers with fruit-forward hops.

We highly recommend use of this yeast in American IPAs, American Pale Ales, Imperial IPAs, and Saisons.



Attenuation: 75-82%

Flocculation: High

Alcohol Tolerance: High (10-15%)

Optimum Fermentation Temperature:  72 - 98F
