Cardamom Seeds

Cardamom is a unique spice, that will instantly transport you to a cup of hot chai tea, it's unique strong taste and intense aromatic, resinous fragrance is surely unmistakeable, yet don't let these characteristics deter you, it's a fantastic addition that lends an edge of sophistication. 

There are two main types of cardamom; Green and Black. The Green cardamom is one of the most expensive spices by weight but a little goes a long way in imparting flavor, the flavor is zesty and citrusy that manages to be not only sweet but spicy all at the same time. The Black cardamom has a distinctly smokey but not bitter aroma, there is an edge of coolness that can be described as mint or even menthol-like.

The seeds of Cardamom, which can also be spelled as Cardamon, give off a warm, slightly pungent and highly aromatic flavor that can be reminiscent of camphor.
