Mangrove Jack's M44 US West Coast is a top fermenting ale strain that will produce an exceptionally clean flavor. It is ideal for when you want the hop character to really shine through. It is a very neutral strain that will enhance tangy citrus and pine hop aromas, as well as toasted and dark malt aromas. These enhancements will occur even when fermented in higher gravity worts and warmer temperatures.

This yeast strain will create a beer that finishes dry and crisp with a moderately high acidity that will help to boost hop flavors and create a clipped finish. Take care when using this strain in very light ales since they can become a bit stripped, thin or astringent, if you do not take care with the mash temperature and don't avoid over-extraction.

Even in higher alcohol content beers this yeast strain will remain very neutral and simple grain bills will allow it to really punch through. The alcohol will be a dominant flavor and aroma and can even be quite warming although never harsh.

M44 US West Coast really shines in hop prominent American Style Ales.
