Briess Vienna GoldPils Malt
Goldpils® Vienna Malt is a superb example of a classic malt. It is less sweet than the Briess Pale Ale Malt but offers complexity and depth with a toasted note at the finish. It is typically used in Vienna, Oktoberfest and Marzen beers but can be used in any beer for a rich malty flavor.
It is less modified than the Pale Ale Malt and less intensely kilned than Munich malts and as a result it delivers malty flavor with less sweetness and less color. It has a sufficient enzyme level to support the inclusion of even the most demanding specialty malts without extending the brewing cycle.
