Altus™ is a USA grown aroma hop with an alpha acid of 15-18.5% and a beta acid of 4-5.2%. It is owned by Hopsteiner under the Cultivar/Brand ID #07270 and is occasionally seen as Experimental Grapefruit #07270.
It has massive resinous qualities as well as spicy and tangerine aromas.
It works well in Lagers and IPAs.
Altus™ could be substituted with Apollo™.
It is available in Lupulin Powder/Pellet form under brands like Cryo-Hops and LUPOMax. It is also frequently available in hop oil/extract form as well as in whole leaf form.
