Ernest is a UK grown aroma hop that has an alpha acid range of 4.4-6.3% and a beta acid range of 4.5-5.5%. It was bred in 1921 by Professor Ernest Salmon in 1921 and was named for him
It features clean "new world" characteristics when used as a bittering hop with complex flavors that are predominantely of fruity notes esepcially apricot, citrus and spice.
Ernests aromas are very similar to its flavor profile and features apricot, citrus and spice.
