Czech Pils 2278

The Wyeast 2278 Czech Pils actually originates from the home of the great Pilsners in the Czech Republic. It is a classic strain that will not only finish dry but also malty. It is the perfect choice for Bohemian-Style Pilsners. The sulfur production that occurs during fermentation can be reduced with warmer fermentation temperatures (think 58F) and will dissipate with conditioning.

Optimal Temperature Range: 50-58 F
