HBC 522

HBC 522 is a USA grown dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range of 9.4-12% and a beta acid range of 4.5-5.5%. It is owned by Hop Breeding Company under Cultivar/Brand ID HBC 522.

It has aromas bitter orange, grapefruit, pine needles and jasmine. It is similar to Cascade and Centennial but with a mix of floral, citrus (orange and grapefruit) and pine.

This experimental hop has shown promise in Wheat Beers, Golden Ales, American Lagers, Pale Ales, IPAs, Session IPAs, NEIPAs, Hazy IPAs, Juicy IPAs, and Imperial IPAs.
