Born in the Ardennes of Belgium, this yeast strain is a favorite of many brewers that want to brew Belgian Beers with a yeast that simply works. It works without any problems.
Suitable for a wide variety of Belgian styles, depending on fermentation characteristics and grain bill. It tends to be spicy and fruity, with the spiciness being on the forefront at lower temperatures and the esters being stage center at the higher temperature ranges.
It flocculates unexpectedly well.
A perfect substition for White Labs WLP550 Belgian Ale.
