Briess Black Barley
This specialty roasted barley is unmalted and will provide color and rich, sharp flavor which is characteristic of Stouts and some Porters. It will impact the foam color.
It can be used with Black Malt to brew a Stout with more color and less intense Roasted Barley flavor notes. It can be used with Chocolate Malt or Black Malt in combination to obtain desired color.
Style: Roasted Malt
Flavor: Coffee, Intense Bitter, Dry
Color: Deep Brown
Usage Levels: 3-7% in order to contirbute coffee flavor to Porters and Stouts
