Bohemian Lager M84 (10 grams)
Mangrove Jack's M84 Bohemian Lager is a bottom-fermenting lager yeast that is characterized by its dry and clean palate that is typical of traditional Czech brewing. It will produce soft, delicate and well balanced beers. The Classic Bohemian Pilsner strain aroma and flavor characteristics can be expected. The hop and malt character will be enhanced and even supported by moderate to full body.
If your wort has a simple grain bill the delicate malt flavors will survive with this yeast strain. Beers fermented with this strain are generally rich and chewy without being heavy.
Lagering periods as short as 4 weeks can produce acceptable beer but allowing it to lager for 6-8 weeks will result in a beer that is richer and smoother with a noticeably refined aroma and flavor. Beers over 7% will tend to be slightly sweet and the alcohol may be slightly hot.
It is suitable for a wide range of Pilsners and Lagers.
