The Wyeast 4946 Bold Red/High Alcohol wine yeast comes from the species Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It has a dominating strong fermentation that comes through in its characteristics. It is alcohol tolerant to 18% (v/v). It is a great choice for restarting stuck fermentations.

It is ideal for Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah, or any high sugar must.
