Citra® (US) Whole Hops
This hop is a high impact aroma hop that will impart a strong citrusy profile, including grapefruit, lime and tropical fruit. Using it as a bittering hop can lead to a harsh and undesirable character, so caution is advised when using it as more than an aroma hop.
It's a great choice in the following Beer Styles: IPA, American Ales, Ambers
Alpha Acid %: 10-15%
Beta Acid %: 3-4.5%
A good substitute for this hop would be Simcoe, Cascade (US), Centennial, or Mosaic.
