Lalvin EC-1118 Yeast
Lalvin EC-1118 is a strain that was isolated, studied and selected from Champagne fermentations. It is a great choice for fermentations that have a wide temperature range (50 to 86 F) and demonstrates high osmotic and alcohol tolerance. It is one of the most widely used yeasts in the world!
It has good floculation with compact lees and a relativelly neutral falvor and aroma contribution and is recommended for all types of wine, including sparkling and late harvest wines and ciders. It can be used for meads and to restart stuck fermentations.
