Experimental #15619™ (Helios™)
Experimental #15619™ also known as Helios™ is a USA grown bittering hop that has an alpha acid range of 16.8-21% and a beta acid range of 3.5-4.5%. This experimental variety is owned by Hopsteiner under Cultivar/Brand ID #15619 or HS15619 and was semi-released under the name Helios™.
There are resinous pine and spicy notes. The low cohumulene levels give it a pleasant bitterness. It features muted aromas with clean, soft accents of the resinous, spicy and floral tones.
It is a solid choice for your IPAs and Pale Ales.
Helios™ is sometimes available in whole leaf hop form and in hop oil/extract form.
