HBC 472

HBC 472 is a USA grown aroma hop that has an alpha acid range of 7-12% and a beta acid range of 7-9%. It is owned by Hop Breeding Company under Cultivar/Brand ID HBC 472.

It has aromas of floral, woody, earthy and coconut notes with a surprising fruity tone that leans towards citrus and grapefruit as well as featuring a whiskey/bourbon note.

This experimental hop has shown promise in Pale Ales, Porters, Stouts, IPLs, Cream Ales and IPAs.

It is sometimes available in Lupulin Powder/Pellet form under brands like LUPOMax and Cryo-Hops.
