Kohatu™
Kohatu™ is a New Zealand grown dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range of 6-7% and a beta acid range of 4-6%. It is owned by New Zealand Hops Ltd under Cultivar/Brand ID HORT 3829. It was released in 2011 and is a descendant of Hallertau Mittelfruh.
It features aromas of fresh and intense tropical fruit. It also has excellent finish and bitterness qualities.
Kohatu™ is a great choice for your Belgian Ales, Wheat Beers, Blonde Ales, IPAs and Pale Ales.
You could possibly substitute Wai-iti or Motueka for Kohatu™.
