Sladek is a Czech grown aroma hop that has an alpha acid range of 4.5-9% and a beta acid range of 3.5-11%. It is known under the Cultivar/Brand ID VUCH-71. Sladek is actually the Czech word for Brewer!
It is noted to be a good complement to Saaz in late hopping additions.
Sladek has a fruity flavor profile with the essence of peach, passionfruit and grapefruit. The flavors of citrus, grapefruit and green fruit also features notes of red bierries like cassis, currant and strawberry that are all accented by slight vegetal notes of dill. Sladek can have sweet fruit aromas of passionfruit and peach with overtones of coffee as well.
It is a solid choice for your Lagers, Pilsners and IPAs.
Saldek could possibly be substituted with Saaz (CZ), Saaz (US), Northern Brewer (GR), or Northern Brewer (US).
