Southern Passion is a South African hop that is an aroma hop. It has an alpha acid of 11-14.2% and a beta acid of 4.9-8%. It has a pedigree of Czech Saaz and German Hallertauer.
It is typically only used in late boil additions or as a dry hop.
It has an aroma that can be described as passionfruit, red berries, guava, coconut, floral, melon, calendula and grapefruit.
It is a great choice for use in IPAs, Pale Ales, Session IPAs, Beligan Ales, and Saisons.
