Summer

Summer is a Australian grown aroma hop that has an alpha acid range of 4-7% and a beta acid of 4.8-6.1%. It was developed by Hop Products Australia (HPA). While commercially it was discontinued in 2017 after being on the market for 20 years, it is still found in small batches from smaller hop farmers.

It features delicate notes of grass, peach stone fruits, passionfruit and citrus. There are distinct apricot and melon flavors and aromas when used in dry hopping schedules. While it's lineage is of Czech Saaz parents Summer does not feature nearly the same level of spice notes.

Summer is a great choice for use in your American and Belgian Ales, IPAs and Wheat Beers. Anything dry hopped with Summer will create a fresh unique beer.

You could possibly substitute Palisade® or Saaz (US) for Summer.

Total Oils (mL/100g): 0.9-2.0
Myrcene: 29-38% (although its also been seen as low as 5-13%)
Humulene: 28-50%
Caryophyllene: 8-11%
Farnesene: 0-1%
All Others (including β-pinene, linalool, geraniol & selinene): 0-35%
Linalool: 0.3-0.5%
