Tango (2011/02/04)
Tango is a German grown dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range of 7.5-12% and a beta acid of 6-10%. It was released at the end of 2020 into 2021 by Barth-Haas. It was originally tagged with the Cultivar/Brand ID 2011/02/04 and was known as such for a short period.
It is important to note the beer type and dosage will greatly influence this hop.
Tango can impart strong fruity citrus flavors with pineapple, passionfruit, grapefruit and cassis being the major notes they are all rounded out with a strong backbone of resinous tones accented by fine lemon and apple notes. It is a great choice for many new school beers!
It features a high oil content which makes it extremely efficient and accessible across a broad spectrum of styles.
