Omega Yeast's OYL-200 Tropical IPA is actually a unique Saccharomyces strain that was formerly classified as a Brettanomyces strain.

It produces delicate, tart, tropical mango and pineapple fruit characteristics and leaves a clean finish. To really bring out the tropical profile try it at its higher temperatures. It is known to be stubbornly non-flocculent but it is worth it!

Flocculation: Low

Attenuation: 82-90%

Optimal Temperature Range: 75-85F

Alcohol Tolerance: 10%

This strain tests positive for the STA1 gene, an indicator of Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. diastaticus, and is capable of fermenting dextrins, resulting in very high attenuation.
