YQH-1320
YQH-1320 is a US grown dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid of 8-9% and a beta acid of 5-6%. This experimental hop was bred by Yakima Quality Hops and was officially released in 2022. It was first discovered as a wild hop, so its parentage remains a mystery for now.
It features layers of citrus that open to reveal notes of pineapple, guava, lime, white peach, mango, tangerine and orange zest. It is clean and bright but also subtly spicy.
It is a great choice for use in all IPA styles, Pale Ales, Golden Ales, Wild Ales, Wheat Beers, Fruit Beers and Saisons.
It can hold its own as a single hop or as part of several different hop variety additions.
