Pekko®
Pekko® is a USA grown dual use hop with an alpha acid of 13-16% and a beta acid of 3.5-5%. It is owned by the American Dwarf Hop Association under ADHA-871 and was named for the Finnish God of field and crops.
It has extremely intriguing aromas due to the unusual mix of flavors such as mint, pear, citrus, cucumber and floral aspects. It is complex and and has clean characteristics of floral, citrus, and mint.
It is a great choice for use in a wide variety of Ales.
We recommend substituting Saaz (CZ) or Azacca®.
Pekko® is often available as a Whole Leaf Hop.
