Boadicea

Boadicea is a UK grown dual purpose hop with an alpha acid of 7-10% and a beta acid of 3-4.5%. It was originaly released under the Cultivar/Brand ID OR423. It is named after the Celtic warrior Queen who resisted the Roman invasion centuries ago.

The aroma is of floral, orchard blossom and ripe fruit. There are mild light floral notes and spicy tones with grassy scented aromas touched by floral notes of orchard blossoms. There is spicy, herbal and woody aromatic notes of tobacco, barrique and licorice with top notes of mentholic peppermint and sweet fruit. The flavor is increased with nuanaces of tea, lime and light floral aromas.

Boadicea is a solid choice for your Pilsners and Pale Ales.

You could possibly substitute Green Bullet, Cascade (US), Cascade (BC), Chinook (US) or Chinook (BC) for Boadicea.
