Juice A38

$11.99

Imperial Yeast's A38 Juice could be a great choice for a house ale strain since it brings out the aromas and flavors of the new school hops. The ester profile will create a beer that is greater than the sum of its parts. Beers made with this strain will have a rounded mouthfeel that also retains a nice sharp citrus edge. This strain requires maintenance as it likes to move to the top of fermentation and will climb out of the fermenter if it's too full.

This strain has demonstrated the need for higher wort dissolved oxygen (DO) levels than most ale strains. Target 20-25ppm DO or set the oxygen regulator flow to 50% higher than normal.

If you need a substitution we recommend Imperial A04 Barbarian, A24 Dry Hop or A01 House, Wyeast London Ale III 1318, or Omega British Ale V OYL011

This is the go-to choice for juicy, hazy, New England IPAs (NEIPAs).

Flocculation: Medium

Attenuation: 72-76%

Optimal Fermentation Temperature: 64 - 74F
