Rakau™ (Raku) (Alpharoma)
Rakau™ is a New Zealand dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range from 9 to 13% and a beta acid range of 4-6%. It can be used successfully during all parts of the brewing process. It is owned by NZ Hops Ltd and was released under the Cultivar/Brand ID of 70-4-9 as Alpharoma.
Rakau™ is best described by its aroma of stone fruit and fig but fresh orchard fruits care often noted - specifically apricot while sometimes some resinous pine needles are noted.
It is a great choice for use in IPAs, Belgian Ales, Pale Ales, and Lagers.
