Sylva is an aroma hop that has an alpha acid range from 5.6 to 7.3% and a beta acid range of 3-4.6%.
There are subtle and complex flavors in this hop that are reminiscent of the earth, think fresh-cut timber and the smell of the forest. There is almost a subtle hoppy bohemian-style aroma.
It is a great choice for use in Pilsners, Lagers, California Commons, and Pale Ales.
If you are looking for a substitute we recommend Hallertau Mittelfruh, Helga, and Saaz.
