XJA2/436
XJA2/436 is a South African grown bittering hop that has an alpha acid of 11.5-16.4% and a beta acid of 7.8-8.4%. It has potent bittering qualities.
There are aromas of bergamot citrus, dried lemon zest, candied papaya, ripe cantaloupe, gooseberries and resin.
It is a great choice for use in IPAs, Pale Ales and Saisons. It is often used in hop forward American and Belgian Style Ales.
You could possibly substitute XJA2/436 with Simcoe®, Centennial (US) or Bergamot™.
