Dana (Extra Styrian Dana)
Dana also known as Extra Styrian Dana is a Slovenian dual purpose hop that has an Alpha Acids of 7.2-18.8% and a Beta Acid of 2.7-6.0%. It is known under the Cultivar/Brand ID 279/112.
It features subtle floral, lemon and pine aromas. Overall Dana features an intensely hoppy aroma with a robust bitterness. There are prominent spicy herbal notes of lovage and juniper plus pine balanced by delicate notes of green fruit, citrus-like green and vegetal elements of gooseberries, pear, lemon, thyme, orange and nettle.
It's a great choice for Pale Ales and IPAs.
