Willamette is a USA grown aroma hop that can be used as a dual purpose hop as well. It has an alpha acid of 4-7.2% and a beta acid of 3-4.5%. It has a Cultivar/Brand ID of 6761-117.

It has aromas of floral notes, earthy tones of incnese and elderberry with a predominance of fragrant resiny, spicy woody aromas that feature mild fruit of red berries with nuances of cream and caramel. There are overtones of citrus, green fruits and floral notes that round out this popular hop.

It is a great choice for use in Ales and Lagers alike, English Ales, Brown Ales, Pale Ales & American Pale Ales, American Lagers, Stouts, Porters, and ESBs.

If you are looking for a substitute we recommend Glacier, East Kent Golding, Styrian Golding, Fuggles (US) or Tettnang (US).

Willamette is often available in a Lupulin Powder/Pellet form through brands such as Cryo-Hops and LUPOMax. It is also available frequently in whole leaf hop form. It is also sometimes found in hop oil/extract form particuarly mixed with other hops.
