Glacier

Glacier is a dual purpose hop grown in the USA that has an alpha acid of 3.3-9.7% and a beta acid of 5.4-10%.

There are aromas of plum, blackberry and wood with flavors of sweet fruit like banana and plum all combined with notes of tea with milk, cream, caramel and honey. These aromas are complemented with notes of bergamot and artichoke. There are undertones of gooseberry and pear (green fruits) with spicy herbal juniper notes and components of gingerbread and yogurt that all contribute to the overall flavor.

It is a great choice for English Style Pale Ales, Pale Ales, ESBs, Porters, Stouts, and English Style Bitters.

If you are looking for a substitute we recommend Styrian Golding, Fuggle (UK), US Fuggles, Tettnanger (GR), US Tettnang, and Willamette (US).

Glacier is often paired with Simcoe® and Amarillo® .

Glacier hops are also often available in whole leaf form.
