Hallertau Blanc GER
Hallertau Blanc is an aroma hop that has an alpha acid range from 9 to 12% and a beta acid of 4.5-6%. It is a daughter of Cascade and was released worldwide in 2012 and was established on the Hüll Farm in the German Hallertau Region.
There is a complex flavor and aroma profile to this hop. The general flavor profile is fruity with wine-like qualities such as gooseberry and grass and is noted to be very similar to a Sauvignon Blanc. The aroma profile consists of notes of cassis and elderflower as well as grapes, grapefruit and lemongrass. People have also detected passionfruit, pineapple and gooseberry as well!
It was grown for use in American-style Ales.
