Apollo™

Apollo™ is a USA bittering hop that is owned by Hopsteiner and is sometimes seen as #01051. It is a super high alpha variety with low cohumulone that makes it an excellent sharp and clean bittering hop. As a bittering hop it is based utilized as a first wort addition or added to the beginnging of your boil. It has an alpha acid of 15-20.5% and a beta acid of 5.5-8%.

However, when it is used towards the end of the boil it can contribute flavors and aromas of citrus (lime), grapefruit, orange, pine, resin and cannabis.

Apollo™ is a great choice for American Ales, IPAs, Imperial IPAs, and Experimental Beers.

If you are looking for a substitute we recommend Zeus, Columbus (US), Columbus (BC), Tomahawk, CTZ, Hallertau Magnum (GR), Magnum (US), Magnum (UA), Nugget (US), Nugget (BC), or Millennium.

It is available as Whole Leaf and in Hop Oil/Extracts.

Apollo™ plays well with many hops but especially Glacier, Palisade®, Hallertau Magnum (GR), Magnum (US), Magnum (UA), and Zeus.
