Aurora (Super Styrian) (Styiran Aurora)

Aurora is a Slovenian grown dual purpose hop with an alpha acid of 5-13% and a beta acid of 2.5-5.5%. It has a Cultivar/Brand ID of 12/61 or HUL005. Aurora is latin for sunrise. It is also known as Super Styrian and Styrian Aurora.

Aurora displays an intense yet pleasant aroma. The aroma includes floral, spice and lemongrass. The intense floral and herbal aromas of apple blossoms and lovage with citrusy notes of lime and passionfruit have resinous and woody touches of pepper and juniper.

Aurora works well in Ales, Lagers, Belgian Ales and English Ales.

Possible substitutions include Styrian Golding, Perle (GR), Perle (US), Northern Brewer (US) and Northern Brewer (GR).

Aurora is sometimes available in whole leaf hop form.
