Magnum (US)
This USA Grown Magnum is a bittering hop that has an alpha acid range of 10-16% and a beta acid range of 4.5-8%. It comes direclty from the original German Magnum strain.
It features aromas and flavors similar to the original German Magnum with an excellent, clean bittering profile with nice, hoppy floral aromas and subtle characters of citrus. It is very similar to Hallertau Magnum (GR) with its noble characters all added with the new world twist of subtle citrus notes.
Magnum (US) is a great choice for your Ales, Lagers, Stouts, Pale Ales and IPAs.
Possible substitutions for Magnum (US) are Galena, Hallertau Magnum (GR), Magnum (UA), Nugget (US)/Nugget (BC), Columbus (US)/Columbus (BC), Horizon, Northdown or Northern Brewer (GR)/Northern Brewer (US).
It is often available in whole leaf hop form.
