Pacific Gem
Pacific Gem is a New Zealand grown bittering hop that has an alpha acid range of 13-15% and a beta acid range of 7-9%.
It features aromas that include spicy black pepper and berry fruit. Some people note blackberry specifically as well as floral tones and pine or oak notes.
Pacific Gem is a solid choice to be used in Pale Ales, IPAs and Lagers.
Cluster, Hallertau Magnum (GR), Magnum (US), Galena and Belma® are all possible substitutions for Pacific Gem.
