Belma® is an USA dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range from 8.0 to 12.1% and a beta acid range of 4-8%. It can be used successfully during all parts of the brewing process. It is owned by Puterbaugh Farms.
Belma® is best described as having an ambrosia flavor, meaning it contains a mix of orange, melon, strawberry, pineapple with a slight hint of grapefruit. The aromas are pleasant with a wide range of fruits.
It is a great choice for use in Pale Ales, IPAs, Blonde Ales, Pilsners, Saisons, Wheats, Hazy IPAs, Juicy IPAs, NEIPAs and Porters.
Frequently Belma® is used with Citra®, Idaho 7™, El Dorado®, Columbus (US), Columbus (BC), CTZ, Cashmere, Huell Melon and Hallertau Blanc.
