Akoya™ (Exp. #99/268)

Akoya™ is a German grown aroma hop with an alpha acids of 9-10% and a beta acid of 4-5%. It was created and is owend by Hopsteiner under Cultivar/Brand ID #99/268 and is occasionally seen under Experimental #99/268.

There are herbal, citrus and tea-like flavors and aromas all accented by slightly fruity notes with hints of mint. There are strong undertones of spice throughout.

Akoya™ is a good choice for Altbiers, Pilsners, Lagers, Helles, Kolsch, Golden Ales, Bitters and English IPAs.

Possible substitutions for Akoya™ include Perle (US), Perle (GR), Aurora, Hallertau Tradition, Northern Brewer (US), and Northern Brewer (GR).
