Experimental X14

Experimental X14 is an USA dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid of 8.6%. It can be used successfully in as both a bittering hop and a flavor and aroma hop as well as whirlpool or dry hop additions. 

Developed at Puterbaugh Farms it is described as being similar to Mosaic meaning there are notes of tropical fruity tones with floral and earthy notes with touches of citrus.

It is a great choice for use in American Pale Ales, IPAs, Double IPAs (DIPAs), and Stouts.

If the description of being similar to Mosaic® (HBC 369) is true it should play well with Citra®, Simcoe®, El Dorado®, Amarillo®, Galaxy® and Azacca® as well as obviously Mosaic® (HBC 369).

Possible substitutes for this hop would be Citra®, Mosaic® (HBC 369) and Simcoe®.
