Green Bullet is a dual purpose hop that is grown in New Zealand and has an alpha acid range from 11 to 15% and a beta acid range of 6.5-7%.

As with most New Zealand Hops Green Bullet has that special zing that we all expect! There are high alpha acids in this hop but it still has a smooth taste and aroma, which is attributed to its high myrcene count. The high levels of floral oil complement and balance the piney resinous hop character.

The resinous character is reminiscent of Styrian Goldings but layered with hints of musky Southern Hemisphere fruit. While Green Bullet is traditionally considered a bittering variety for lagers it also carries spicy characteristics typical of other Slovenian hop varities. It is regarded as a workhorse in New Zealand and is widely used there.

There are aromas of black pepper, pine, plum and dried fruits like raisins and other fruits.

It is a great choice for use in these beer styles: Lager, Ale, Stout, ESB, Bock, Saison, and IPA.

If you are looking for a substitution we recommend using Liberty, Hallertau (US), Crystal, Mt. Hood, and Ultra.
